My biggest challenge, for online learning is my own time management. I sometimes get in the mind set of having a “life” that is way too busy, but in reality, I have nothing better to do right now than school! I also know that with starting college now, I have to learn to write a college-level paper and that is something I will struggle with. I know that I can write very well, and I love to write. I never really got the experience in writing college-level papers so that is one challenge I will definitely have to overcome. One advagnate of me going to Ashford is that my husband is also attending so we can both push each other to strive to be the best. I know that he will struggle to, because he still has work during the day so I will have to push him some days but, I think most times he will be pushing me!
One of the most important things I learned from the Orientation was from the student readiness questionnaire. It helped me realize that I am and WILL struggle with time management. The whole orientation also showed me that it CAN be done if I put my mind to it. I don’t have anybody holding my hand anymore. This is not high school, and I have to take a leap of faith and focus on what I want, not only for me but for my family and my future. There are plenty of resources available and just because nobody is holding my hand doesn’t mean staff at Ashford will not be there to help in my times of need. I will just need to ask and I’m sure that I can be helped in some way or
