If the people are selfish and don't share then they are sinner because Jesus gave up his life for us, and he wants us to give up some of what we have to others who need it more than we do. This applies to my own life because everyday there are people who become poor, or don't know where their next meal is coming from and they don't have to money to buy food o clothes, and people everyday pass them like nothing and don't even think twice about what they are going through.

Peters gift to the old man was "foolish" because Peter was poor too and because he gave his own shoes up, now he doesn't have shoes of his own. The service that is impotent in DD life is to help people no matter who you are, DD was poor and brought in all these homeless people and housed and fed them.
