INTRODUCTION
This report examines the current state of the theme park industry and how TRC, Inc. can expand into the state of Florida. Florida already has theme parks that range from Disney World to Busch Gardens, zoos and aquariums. Vega Consulting group will analyze and investigate future possibilities for TRC, Inc.
Theme parks and amusement parks are places people to go to have fun, relax and enjoy themselves. An amusement park is more elaborate than a simple city park or playground, usually providing attractions meant to cater to children, teenagers, and adults. A
Florida has Disney World, which consists of four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.) It also includes two water parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.) Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are two other theme parks that are located in the same vicinity and are from the same company. Another theme park is Busch Gardens in Tampa. Florida has two of the largest theme park companies in the world and they are both located in the same are Orlando, Florida.
Since the 1980s, the theme park industry has become larger than ever before, with everything from large, worldwide type theme parks such as Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood to smaller and medium-sized theme parks such as the Six Flags parks and countless smaller ventures in many of the states of the U.S.
Successful Theme Parks
If one looks at how Disney, Universal Studios and Six Flags have become successful, they have to look at what they have done. These parks appeal to everyone from kids to adults. To have a successful theme park a company has to cater to the wants of children, adults and teenagers. Families are looking for a theme park that provides quality entertainment and looks for cleanliness. If you look at how Islands of Adventure has become popular among tourist and residents in the state Florida, you can see that their park caters to the wants and likes of adults, teenagers and children.
