Art and design controls a majority of the choices we make on a daily basis. It is what attracts us to liking different things, such as the food we eat or the clothes we wear. It can even change the mood we are in. Art is very influential and most importantly, inspiring. Art can be so powerful as to provoke change in a person. It allows us to see through the eyes of the artist or see a place we’ve never been. It also enhances our experience by expression and emotion.
Art is also a way to communicate visually. Through art you can create something and express a message or a belief. Art is seen all the time in advertising. Advertisements that one sees everyday are usually created with the viewer in mind. Design can mean everything. Placement, color, and layout are important to attract the viewer’s attention. It is important that the art is kept interesting or the audience will become bored.
The world needs beauty, color, and light. Without art and design, everything would be plain. Art is the creative way we express ourselves. In a busy, stressful life, art allows us to ask questions and stop to look for a little while. Art and design is found everywhere, even in places you would not normally think it would be. Art can be anything from billboards, to magazines, and graffiti on an old train car. Anywhere you turn you are looking at some form of art.
