The Qur’an
The Qur’an is the religious book a Monotheistic religion that dates back to 570bc. The Koran is a spiritual collection of occurrences. The holy book does not eliminate the preceding religions such as Judaism and Christianity. The torah actually makes references that coincide with the stories of Abraham, Moses, David ,Solomon, Mary and Jesus. The Qur’an differs in the way of how to follow these biblical figures and of the symbolism of the spoken word. The Qur’an does not denounce what the bible states it is more of a clarification on the proceeding stories that were told. In fact the meaning of the word Qur’an is recitation. So the quran is the recitation or the correction of the other books. The man known as Jesus was not God himself he was a profit just like Mohammad. These are the vessels that God would reveal him self. These profits were not to be worshiped but were to be listened to. These biblical characters were shown a way in order to be able to teach others but most importantly they are not to be praised as Gods. The Qur’an was supposed to be the book to end all books. The followers of this religion are called Islam’s. They believe in one god and one god only to follow any other goes against the faith. there are basic doctrines’ of this book and religion. A Muslim must prey or think if God whom they call Allah five times a day. One must live a good and honest life. One must abide by the 5 pillars prayer. Lawgiving, fasting and travel through Mecca Islamic Muslims must live a The area and date of the Qur’an goes back to Arabia where the Roman empire and the Persian empire were both feuding over polytheist views. The founder or rather the chosen one of the quran was the profit Mohammed. The origins of the Qur’an and how it came to be are much different from Judaism or Christianity. Mohammed was not born a profit neither was he recognized as one early in life like Jesus was. The revelation of the Qur’an actually happened later in his life.
Mohammed was not born a rich or wealth man he most certainly was not poor. Mohammed became an orphan at an early age. His Uncle Abu Talib gained custody of him and they worked as a merchant. Mohammed gained the respect and love of his future wife a widower who was much older than he. Her name was Kadija. He married in to her respected family. His wife Kadija was 15 years his senior. It was said that Mohammed would go to a secluded cave on Mt hird in Mecca to pray and think it was in this cave that was where Mohammed received the first revelation of the Qur’an by the angel Gabriel or Jibril as he is sometimes called. These revelations of the Quran started when Mohammed was 40 around the year 610 CE. One day in this cave the Angel came to him and said "Recite!"
And he said,
"What should I recite for thee?"
Then the Archangel again said:
"Recite!"
Again he replied,
"What should I recite for thee?"
And then for a third time the Holy Archangel said to Mohammad:
"Recite in the name of thy Lord who created! He createth man from a clot of blood. Recite; and thy Lord is the Most Bountiful, He who hath taught by the pen, taught man what he knew not."
Mohammad then recited these words after the Archangel, who thereupon left him. So he left the cave, and when he was just about half-way down the slope of the mountain. He heard again a voice above him saying: "O Mohammad. Thou art the Messenger of God, and I am Jibraeel."
He raised his eyes heavenwards and there was his visitant, still recognizable but now clearly an Archangel, filling the whole horizon and sky, and again the Archangel Jibraeel(as) repeated saying to him. "O Mohammad. Thou art The Messenger of God, and I am Jibraeel."The Prophet then stood gazing at magnificent sight of The Holy Angel before him, and he turned from him.
