Hiroshima was a bombrun on the city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Hitler had previously surrendered after the Battle of the Bulge--the last german forces offensive--. In an individual war against Japan, the United States was struck with doubts of commencing invasion of Japan given the large losses they could suffer. A new invention of an ultimate weapon presented itself an option to stop Japan’s war efforts in their tracks. The decision to drop the bomb was based on a variety of reasons, although understandable, do not exceed the negative impact the bomb would inflict. The United States should not have dropped the atomic bomb because it was an experimental weapon, Japan had futile resources, and genocide. The Manhattan Project was established during World War II
Genocide is the deliberate killing of a large group of people. Which has many similarities to what the United States did to the Japanese during Hiroshima. The bomb killed somewhere around 120,000 people, estimated because it is hard to count people who were vaporized instantly--leaving no trace--by the atomic bomb. Not only did the bomb kill thousands upon thousands of innocents from the moment it detonated, but it released a plethora of radiation and ash into the atmosphere, that turned the water and nearby air radioactive. The radioactive water diagnosed people who drank it with radiation poisoning, eventually killing them in a most uncomfortable way. When Japan didn’t surrender the day of the bombing on Hiroshima, the United States proceeded with another bombrun, this time on Nagasaki. Killing an estimated 80,000 more people. Japan soon surrendered after the second nuke had been dropped, In total, about 200,000 people were murdered because of the bombings, and the United States sall no consequences for its
