Should The United States Have Dropped The Atomic Bomb?

If you want to live in America, then drop the bomb to end the Japanese war and save America. Truman decides to drop the bomb is the greatest thing, but if he decides not to then the war will not end. America will not be safe from Japan or any other countries. Truman wants America to drop the bomb; he thinks that the United States is the first country that is with the nuclear bomb. If they don’t use it then there will be another country that will create a nuclear bomb and might drop it on United States that is why Truman decides to drop the bomb. America should have dropped the atomic bomb because if the bomb is dropped America and American soldiers will be safe from Japan and other countries. “The military had estimated the invasion might result in very high casualties.” (D) Hillman 1952, dropping then bomb will save America from high casualties. “We shall continue to use the bomb until we completely destroy to make war.” (F) Truman 1945, dropping as much bombs as the United States can, will stop the Japanese war. These quotes show that a person who wants the United States to drop the bomb was on the side of Truman and Hillman.

The people who disagree with the claim will say that the bomb is the worst enemy of the war between Japan and America. “Twenty to Thirty percent of the fetal casualties in Hiroshima and Nagasaki were caused by flash burns.” (A) Gladstone 1962, many people in Japan will die just by the flash of atomic bomb, the minute it touches the ground. As you can see, this quote shows that people who didn’t want to drop the bomb supported Gladstone.
