The Coca Cola commercial was created to sell the beverage. The commercial tells the story of how the Coca Cola drink is made when someone purchases one from a vending machine. It is in an animated format and of sort tells the story of how a bottle of Coke is created by all the little beings that live inside the vending machine.

b) What are the main images conveyed in the text?
The main images conveyed in the text are of a mythical factory that is inside of all Coca Cola vending machines filled with mythical creatures that make the drink fresh whenever someone buys one. The images convey to the audience how much effort is put into every single bottle of Coke. The advertisement gives the idea of a brilliant and happy place that the coke is made, it shows a place filled with happy workers that all live to make the drink. This can easily be seen through the title of the ad, “Coke- the Happiness Factory”.

c) How is the audience appealed to?
The audience is appealed to throughout the advertisement through the bright colours used throughout the animation and the use of up-beat and happy music. The characters portraying the workers in the “Coca Cola Happiness Factory” are cute little mythical creatures that all have different roles within the factory and all work together to make the one bottle of Coke. The audience are enlightened by the sheer cuteness of the animation, and the idea of one bottle of drink is made by these tiny little beings that live inside vending
