We conducted our survey on 75 students in Vancouver. Among the 75 students, only 42.7% of total population, 32 students, worked for pay per week (=COUNTIF(G2:G76,"2")/75). The working population’s average labour hours per week was 13.4hrs/week (=SUM(H2:H76)/29). According to the result, the number of males in mmm who worked was greater than the number of females who worked by 4.4%; out of 45 males who did their survey, 20 of them worked (44.4%), and out of 30 females, 12 of them worked (40%).
Comparing proportion of students who work for pay, by faculty, students in the faculty of Science ranked the highest and students in the Faculty of Engineering ranked the lowest. Specifically, 50% of participants who are in the Faculty of Science worked for pay per week (8 workers/16 Science students). 45.9% of Arts students worked (17 workers/37 Arts students). Then, there were Commerce students from whom 35.7% of them were working (5 workers/14 Commerce students). Lastly, 25% of Engineering students worked for pay per week (2 workers/8 Engineering students). Comparing proportion of students who work for pay, by year standing, students in higher year standing generally worked more than students in lower year standing. For instance, students in 3rd year ranked the highest and students in 1st year ranked the lowest.
