For the Marketing Research 411 class of fall 2012 semester the following students created and implemented this research study:
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As of fall 2012, as students of New Mexico Highlands University we conducted a research project on the topic of student advising. * The research project would be executed within the basis of a traditional class during the 2012 fall semester and at the end of the fall semester we would get our results. * We conducted the entire study without inference by anyone, including external parties. 1. We completed the survey instrument, the data collection, analysis and final report. * If there are any interested parties about the results it will be available at the conclusion of the research project.
We received our background on Highlands University from the school website. After we researched Highlands University we worked to develop sets of questions that were evaluated by the entire class so that we could develop a strong single survey.
The final survey was on the Ecourse on the NMHU website for students to take online. We received and analyzed 135 total surveys using Microsoft Excel and a statistical software called EX Analyze. Also, we interpreted the results of the study.
Our research project involved convenience sampling, since the survey was posted online for students to take and submit online. However, we our results were surprising but also expected.
