When you look at this picture, it looks like any ordinary picture of a group of friends. But really it is more then that. It's a family. And the song ____ reflects our story perfectly.

Months back this was taken at a steam punk convention called Steam Punk Worlds Fair. We all went and planed to go for months. But even before that all of us met because of a band named Steam Powered Giraffe. A fan chat was made and people came and left but there were a good chunk that stuck around, that is the majority of people pictured.

We shared the interest of the band and everyone started to come in for that reason along with band members sometimes coming in. But after awhile we got to know each other and we spent our summer together in this chat having video calls and late night conversations until four in the morning. The thing is, we had people from the east to west coast of the states in the chat, people from Britain and Spain. It was never empty due to time zones.

When the band said that they were trying to go to the convention they said they needed to fundraise, since they were from the west coast it was going to be a little pricey. But the fans in our chat and fans outside of the chat achieved the amount that was needed, we fundraised over a thousand dollars they initially needed to reserve a spot for them to play.
