A:

all matter is made up of particles; all particles are in constant motion; all particles of the same substance are identical; particles of different substances are different from one another; temperature affects the speed at which particles move; in gases, there are spaces between particles and the particles move around freely; in liquids, the particles are closer together, are attracted to each other, and move around less freely;
In solids, the particles are packed close together, have strong forces of attraction between them, and vibrate in place.
