If you do not have powerpoint or Word you can download the Microsoft viewer by clicking on Blackboard FAQ under ‘Quick Links’ on the Blackboard log-in page. Once on the Online Support page, click on the ‘Downloads’ tab at the top. Once on the Downloads page, click on the Microsoft downloads to access the powerpoint viewer. Course Requirements:
Students are expected to contribute through class participation, either in asking pertinent questions or making astute observations. The student will be expected to relate the assigned readings in the text, other work assignments, and ongoing current events to the developing lecture. Read each assignment before coming to class so that you will be better able to participate during class lecture. 1. Regular and prompt class attendance reflected in class roll and/or contact. 2. Read assigned chapters and materials (handouts, power points, articles, lecture notes, etc.) utilized in class lectures. 3. Successful completion of all examinations with 60% passing as minimum requirement. 4. Conduct library and internet research on assigned topics. 5. Viewing audio-visual aids enabling the student to recognize the particular chapter concepts and dynamics. 6. Submission of typed assignments demonstrating applied knowledge.

CLASS CONDUCT: Students are expected to act with the appropriate maturity and respect for fellow students and instructors. As a result of previous experiences, chatting during lectures or discussion may result in point deductions without warning. Repeat offenders will be dismissed from the class with an unexcused absence. Suspension will result from continued misconduct.
No eating or drinking in the classrooms.
Cell phones, IPODS, MP3 players, etc: Turn off all phones while in class!!! I know you have them. I don’t want to see them, I don’t want to hear them. While I know you feel the need to carry your phone with you, do NOT produce them in class!! Phones are not allowed out on your desk. If you are emergency personnel, put your beeper or phone on the vibrate option (but let me know first). This is your only warning regarding these items. If you violate this policy you will be referred to the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs.
To accommodate attention to the course, students will not be allowed to sleep, read, or wear personal stereos.
Students who must leave earlier than the end of the class period must inform me before

Class Attendance
Class attendance is regarded as an obligation as well as a privilege, and students are expected to attend all classes regularly and punctually. Failure to do so may jeopardize a student's scholastic standing. * Attendance will be checked every class meeting. * Each student has 6 hours of allowed class absence in this course. * When a student has accumulated over 6 hours of absences in this course (two weeks total), the student will be suspended and assigned "WN" for the course. * All absences due to school-sanctioned activities, mandatory military exercises, court subpoena, and jury duty are excused. In the event an absence, it is the student's responsibility to submit acceptable documentation to the instructor who will determine the validity of the excuse. I will keep the documentation so be sure to make yourself a
