1. How did your ecological footprint compare to the average Canadian?
Compared to the carbon footprint of the average Canadian which is 20.00 tonnes, I calculated that my ecological footprint is 16.7 tonnes, 11% food, 41% travel, 22% home, and 26% stuff. In conclusions my results said that my footprint is 4.15 planets.

2. List three things you do currently that help to minimize your footprint.
Three things you can do to reduce your footprint is carpool or take public transportation, unplug your gadgets if they are not being used, and finally plant a tree.

3. List three things you do that increase your footprint.
The things that people do to increase their footprint is leaving electronics plug in or left on when they are not being used, do not properly dispose their waste, and they use a car to get to everywhere they need to go instead of walking, taking the bus etc...

4. What are three things you could do differently to reduce the size of your footprint?
Three thing I could do differently to reduce my footprint is unplug my electronics if I am not using them, buy more local foods, and use rechargeable batteries.

5. Examine the chart “Human Welfare and Ecological Footprints Compared” and attempt to explain why some countries are above the world average and some countries are below the world average. Make reference to three specific countries above the average and three countries below the world average.
I believe that the reason why some countries are below average like Mozambique, Malawi, and India is because they do not have the same technology spread throughout the country, for example, North America. These countries don't have all the high tech appliances to make their food or clean their clothes so they must resort to completing these daily tasks the "old fashion way" and in doing this they naturally save energy because they used almost no electricity. We're as the countries who are above average like Canada, United States, and Australia the citizens of these countries are accustomed to having many electronic devices and cars, and many choices of food that are exported from different countries so it is "normal" for these countries to naturally take advantage of these luxuries and end up with a high ecological footprint.

6. What are some of the factors that contribute to Canadians having a larger ecological footprint than people in developing countries? What three things could you do to reduce your carbon footprint?
