c. Slaves produced majority of international goods >sugar, rice, coffee, tobacco
c.i. Slaves composed the majority of cargo that was sold; they also cultivated the necessary crops that were sold internationally.
c.i.1. Slaves were bought and sold at such high prices so they were regularly brought over to the new world. Sugar was the largest sold crop internationally and slaves allowed that crop to prosper.
c.i.1.a. Slaves were the basis of work. If there weren’t slaves to run a plantation then the crop couldn’t be grown and sold.
c.i.1.a.i. Slavery and It’s Legacies in North America is the theme that related to this topic because slavery was the basis of the economy and without it nothing would be sold overseas.

a.i. The Chesapeake region was by far the worst for slaves, then the Rice Kingdom, then the North; the severity of the slave cruelty altered in each region greatly.
a.i.1. They had to be stricter with slaves on the big plantations because they had a lot of land to cover and had to be efficient. They could be more lenient on the smaller farms because there were fewer slaves to control and less work to be done.
