Similarities and Differences
Instinct Theories
Motivation from biologically programmed behaviors occurring in response to environmental cues.
As instinct can be triggered by internal cues such as menstrual cycle in mammals, smiling and having fear of snakes and spiders and protecting our children is instinctive.
Protecting our children and smiling and having fear of snakes are our human instincts. Something’s humans do cannot be considered instinctive such as eating when hungry or getting a college degree.

Evolutionary Theories
The theory of evolution to explain the psychology behind our behaviors
Overweight individuals eating more when cood is available to store their food during those times if food was or would not be available
There only differences overweight individuals are very unhealthy and I don’t think there will ever be a time where there will be no more food accessible to us.
Drive Theories
A theory that states of tension motivate us to take action to reduce them.
If we are thirsty or have a craving for something we do whatever it takes to satisfy that thirst or want
The only similarity is this theory is still part of our lifes. If we have a sweet tooth and there is a store open late we will be getting in the car to get that candy bar or ice cream
