Group: Four vulnerable young adult residents (Adele, Martin, Faye and George) Course: Supporting Independent Living for Residents Holidays Who reside at Cherry House, Supported Living Project Session: Preparation for and doing the packing Topic/aim: To enable residents to undertaking packing a suitcase for short breaks away
Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, learners will be able to:

(i) Plan how to pack a small suitcase for short break away, adopting list making if learners feel this will help
(ii) Pack that small suitcase: gather together items with or without assistance from key workers and pack as guided

Differentiation: Group consists of half of residents at the property. Small to ensure all have full understanding of what is expected of them and to enable them to participate fully. This small grouping allows for sharing of experiences between some residents who have been on holidays before (Adele and Martin) and some who have not (Faye and George).
This outcome is key to residents progressing in achieving their goal of shared supported living with increased dependency and to ensure that they are fully involved in preparing for their holidays and short breaks.
