The results would be completely different if we surveyed more students we only get the data of 100 surveyed students and if we surveyed every student in Australia the results would be a lot more accurate because we would be surveying a much more larger number which would allow us to get a better average and results. Also the data for each state would vary because the education standards vary from states. With surveying all students it would be a very lengthy process. To able to get the statistics it would involve different people ie principals, teachers and education departments to achieve the results. Another problem would be the documentation/recording of the statistics, grouping and gathering of the results would be difficult to
RHINE RIVER, BASEL, SWITZERLAND Despite being one of the longest rivers in Europe, river Rhine is also regarded as Europe's dirtiest river. Sandoz Laboratory exploded in 1986 on the 1st of November 1, which was located in Basel Warehouse, Switzerland. There were around 1250 tonnes of toxic substances including sulfur…
Science Report Production of AC AC is short for alternating current. This means that the direction of current flowing in a circuit is constantly being reversed back and forth. We aim to produce AC by, connecting the copper coil by a clamp onto the retort stand, having a magnet attached to the end of the spring hanging off another retort stand, enabling the magnet to move in and out of the coil, thus producing an AC. Hypothesis We predict that the data received and transmitted to the computer…
Ava Altmann 1/6/13 Magalloway Rock Abrasion Science Report Purpose: What effect does the length of time of abrasion have on the way rock particles weather? Rocks are constantly changing their size because of the weathering process. Weathering is when rocks are broken down by physical or chemical means. An example of physical weathering is abrasion. Wind, water, and gravity can cause abrasion to happen. For example, in a stream, the current pushes rocks forward, causing them to hit and rub against…
Books are better than movies Being lost in a book has to be one if the best feeling it's like you can scape reality and live in your own fantasy It stands to reason that books are better than movies because they allow imagination, improve education and can be transported anywhere with you It is suggested that books are better than movies because the author of the book is using his/her imagination to write a story. HCS Extra Credit Report I will be going over three different crops and a major disease for each crop and describe the method to eliminate or prevent this disease. My three crops are corn, wheat, and soybeans. For corn the disease I will go over is diplodia stalk rot, for wheat the disease is rust, and for soybeans the disease is frogeye leaf spot. In corn, stalk rots are rather common and are usually the main corn disease problem. The development of stalk rot is best in good growing conditions…
Science Fair 2012 By Anna Neuber Question If I put ice cream to bake in an oven, will the egg white and sugar mixture insulate it well enough so it won’t melt? Hypothesis If I put the ice cream into the egg white mixture and heat it up in the oven at 260°, it will not melt because of the insulation. Variables Independent Variables The independent variables are those that are changed throughout the experiment. In my experiment I am going to change the…
This editorial piece critically describes the purpose, approach and findings of the report. It then focuses on the details of three aspects; weak Canadian business research and development, the firm-centric model in an innovation ecosystem and the key trends that will drive sciences and technology policy in and business innovation the future. Finally it will assess the proposed recommendations as compared to what science and technology theory has suggested. The main purpose of the study was explaining…
