Summary
The article that I read about was on how bacteria proteins in the sky that can control precipitation patterns. The researcher named Bioengineer Tobias Weidner, leader of the surface protein group at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany. He worked on a bacterium called Pseudomonas syringae it basically attacks plants by growing ice crystals how cool is that. But that bacteria at the same time it allows the plants to catch infections. Researcher Weidner did more tests on this bacteria protein like he took samples that are in Antarctica of the plant bacteria and created a film over water. Then put intense laser beams for a short of just 40 femtoseconds that's the amount of time it takes light to travel just one one-hundredth of a millimeter over the sample to examine the atomic motion of the protein and water molecules.
