Sapp 1 Sapp, Evan Ms. Nixon Romans 4 September 2013 The Problem of Salvation Salvation is the goal for mostly everybody. Eternal life in Heaven, who wouldn’t want that? Through Jesus Christ we are saved and essentially are accepted to Heaven. Everything is dandy, you either accept Jesus Christ or you don’t. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. The problem is there are countless numbers of people in the world that haven’t even heard the name Jesus, not to mention, God at all. Now if they never knew the Lord, then they are condemned to hell. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.’”(John 14:6). Can you achieve salvation just off of good acts? Did God

choose who would achieve Salvation and who wouldn’t? How is this fair coming from a loving, caring, kind God that we follow? “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of
God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”(Ephesians 2:8-9). The bible clearly states in Ephesians 2:8-9 that Salvation cannot be achieved by good works. It also says that you are saved by grace through faith, so, if you don’t have faith then you don’t have grace. How can one have faith if they do not know what or who to put their faith in? I mentioned previously that the bible said the only way to Salvation is through Jesus Christ. If they have never heard of Christ then they cannot reach salvation, which means, they are condemned to hell. How is this so? The bible says, “… [God] not wishing that any

should perish…”(2 Peter 3:9). If God does not wish anyone to parish, then why would he so unfairly send his creations that did not have any opportunity
