All across the U.S. people are for and against guns. People think that guns should be illegal because they kill people. The citizens of the US should be allowed to have a gun in every category; assault weapons, machine guns, and handguns. Guns protect yourself and others.
Another reason is that we the people, have the right to bear arms, which is the second amendment. Last, guns aren’t the problem it’s the person with the gun. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.

Many people think that guns kill people when in fact guns protect the people of the US.

Internet: “Almost every mass shooting that has occurred in the United States since 1950 has taken place in a state with strict gun control laws…” (Michal Snyder, “jpfo.org”). Mass shootings take place where gun laws are strict because nobody is there to stop the shooter. A sign on a door that says “gun free zone” isn’t going to stop a criminal from bringing a gun into that place. 31 people died last year from people that legally obtained a gun, so if we banned guns those 31 people would still be alive. Guns only protect yourself and others, the only people that stopped the shooter in these events were policemen with a pistol.

People all over want to ban guns but what they don’t understand is that, the right to bear

arms is in the bill of rights. Internet: “Yes it is in the bill of rights, but for some reason gun advocates think that the right to bear arms is the only constitutional right that is virtually without

limit. You have the right to practice your religion, but not if you religion involves human sacrifice. You have the right to free speech but you can still be prosecuted for incitement or conspiracy. Every right is subject to limitation when it begins to threaten others, and the

Although we have the right to bear arms, there are already restrictions on what we can do with guns, you have to have a background check for every gun that you purchase, you can only shoot firearms in designated areas, and you have to have special permits to own machine guns, suppressors, and concealed carry.

Many people think banning all arms would stop the mass shootings and not as many

people would die, but the real problem is not the gun it is the person with the gun. Internet:
