Create Your Own Acceleration Lab
For this lab you will fill out the lab report as you conduct the lab. You will be given materials and asked to create a lab that includes at least 5 trials that calculate acceleration and at least 5 trails that calculate deceleration for each person in the group. Answer the pre-lab questions before you begin lab.
Pre-lab questions
1. What is the definition of velocity? What is the formula?
Velocity is both magnitude and direction are required to define it.

2. What is acceleration? What is the formula?
Acceleration is defined as the rate at which an object changes its velocity. An object is accelerating if it is changing its velocity.
3. Do you have to change speed in order to accelerate?
NO, because you need to have a certain speed to accelerate.

4. What else do we call slowing down?
Decreasing in speed, or coming to a halt.

5. How might you measure your own acceleration/deceleration?
A Person(s) running physically and find the velocity and convert it to acceleration.
Create a lab report as you work including a:
-Acceleration and Deceleration.

-Purpose
To Measure out somebodies acceleration in order to see how fast they are. And discuss on how fast they had gone during the first few seconds. But also to see the person(s) change in speed or velocity.
