Hello lovely Sigma Kappa sisters!
It saddens me to say that this will be my last newsletter as the Alpha Sigma Vice President of Alumnae Relations. I have loved sending you updates on the chapter and I have loved getting to know each and every one of you. As you read on, you will see some of the exciting things that the Alpha Sigma Chapter has been involved in throughout the fall semester. We've been involved in so much in such a short amount of time and it is hard to believe that we will be moving into formal recruitment very soon! It has been my pleasure serving as your VPAR. I have all the faith in the world that the new Vice President of Alumnae Relations will keep you updated as the new year progresses!

What’s Inside
What’s Inside

As many of you know, Westminster’s Homecoming was held on the weekend of September 29. Many of the alumnae came back to share their memories from when they attended Westminster and to get to know some of the current collegiate members of the Alpha Sigma Chapter.

A tent was located down by the football field during the game and half time for the alumnae to visit. Our sisters gave the alumnae chocolate covered popcorn, cupcakes, drinks, and much more!

Before the football game started, a parade was held where all of the campus’s organizations participated in. All of the sororities and fraternities built a float geared towards this year’s theme, “Get Animated”. Our chapter chose Finding Nemo and built our float to represent the fish tank from the dentist’s office. A four foot volcano was in the center of the float with different characters placed around it. The judges rewarded us with second place out of a little over 15 other floats.

Not only did our chapter win second place in the float competition, but our own Sarah Carlson won Homecoming Queen! She is such a sweet and genuine sister/friend to the entire campus. We could not have been any prouder of her. Sarah truly represents everything that a Sigma Kappa should be.
