Reflections Paper: Sergio Puig
After completing the Team Charter with my team and, of course, having decided some of the important issues and concepts that will guide our project, I am going to start analyzing my results. First of all, my StrengthsFinder outcomes from my assessment listed in order are: EMPATHY, INCLUDER, POSITIVITY, INDIVIDUALIZATION and
ARRANGER.
Throughout the entire project I am going to try to exercise and improve each of my strengths in accordance to the team’s needs and in the best interest of the project. To be honest, I feel my strengths are more sociable oriented which in a way are important to successfully run project but not that much in terms of the actual work.
Nevertheless, I consider myself very capable to bring other skills to carry out all my assigned tasks in the process. Additionally, I consider my strengths are important to create the ideal environment for work among many other positive consequences that I am going to explain now.
I contemplate myself as a positive and empathetic person, both powerful tools to encourage teamwork and create the most suitable atmosphere for work. In addition, taking into account it is a self-managed I believe these two strengths highlighted in my results will be crucial to create bridges of understanding and an even better outcome.
In Journal of Business Ethics the author argues that “the quality of empathy is suggested to be the greatest contributor in strengthening social interaction through its ability to motivate individuals to cooperate, to share resources and to help others”
(Pavlovich, K. & Krahnke, K., 2012, Volume 105, Issue 1, pp 131). I certainly agree with the idea of comprehension and I will try to support the team into that situation.

Furthermore, following the analysis of my results, and the recommendations that the book gives, I understand it could be helpful that I use my inclusive perspective to inspire in everyone a sense of involvement and share of different opinions. Also, as the author states in Effective Work “In general such disagreement is a healthy process in teams” (West, Michael A., 2012, p. 106). All in all, I think it is certainly about a combination of backgrounds; I regard teamwork as an enriching tool to develop almost any type of project nowadays.
