Job Description

International eCommerce Web Development Manager - International Grocery Home Shopping

Role Description

Tesco.com has a vision of becoming the world's best multi-channel retailer, building on its leading position as the largest and most profitable online grocer globally. With over 700 employees working in eCommerce in the UK, Ireland, Eastern Europe, South Korea & India and new teams starting in Asia, Tesco.com's annual revenue now stands in excess of £2 billion.

Tesco.com is a completely self-sufficient business within the Tesco group with our own teams in Marketing, Commercial, Finance, IT, Business Development and Operations. But, of course, as an internet retailer, IT and the online customer experience sit right at the heart of our business and we're committed to making sure we continue to hire and develop the best talent in our industry.

You will be working as part of a wider business team to improve the customer shopping experience across all our international markets by delivering enhancements to our Grocery Home Shopping website and mweb solution. You will understand the differing needs and shopping behaviours of the local customer in each of our markets. Using this insight you will prioritise, define and manage the development of new features (or feature enhancements) and consequently deliver new or improved customer initiatives to step change the business, all across multiple countries.

You will work in an agile development environment and be comfortable working with colleagues in the UK and several other countries at the same time, as well as third party solution provided. You will be supported by other members of the Web Development team.

This role will best suit an individual who thrives under pressure, is well organised, pragmatic and a creative lateral thinker, who can manage issues, decisions and multiple stakeholders and most importantly, puts our customers first.

The position will be based at our Head Office in Welwyn Garden City, with some International travel likely. Free parking is available onsite, we're connected to London Kings Cross with a fast service (c. 25mins) and our offices include gym, canteen, petrol and dry cleaning services.

Working as the business product owner for Agile development teams - managing the backlog and working with scrum teams, architects and programme managers to prioritise work, understand & resolve issues and deliver the website improvements to our International business colleagues and customers
Prioritising user stories and business requirements into sprints both across our web teams and working with other teams to ensure all projects are delivered with the right priority
