Study Proposal
Do sports effect student’s grades in a negative aspect? To conduct this study I will include interview and observation techniques. Interviews will help me to get a more personal feel on the student’s aspect of sports and their grades. I will have a group of students that play sports that are all in the same grade. I will observe the group that plays sports during their class time to see how focused they are and how serious they seem about their school work. Also I will observe them while in a game or a practice to see how involved they are. I will also observe the controlled group that does not play sports with they are in class to see how focused they are and how serious they seem about their school work.
My controlled variable will be students that don’t play sports that are only concentrated on their grades. I will use a quasi-experimental research design because this is a group that is chosen based on grade and the fact that they play sports it is not picked at random. My sample population will be the students that answer interview questions about whether or not they play sports and their grade averages. Both of the groups will take part in the same interview with questions about sports and their academic skills. My hypothesis is that a few students’ grades are effected in a negative way because of their participation in sports but I think the majority of the students grades are effected positively

in synthetic turf (The Star, 2013). Introduction The University of Toronto’s St. George Campus boasts a lot of green space. Moreover, it contains a field that the 2015 Pan Am Games and University of Toronto officials believed should be used for sports. On the other hand, city council decided against this move. They made it clear that they wished for this field to remain green and to think of the field as a part of Toronto’s heritage. This came as a great surprise to the University of Toronto and…

argument is logical, even if we, personally, do not agree with the point. Logical and critical analysis involves us having to understand our own opinions, and put them aside. Begging the Question (Petitio principii) The government’s budget proposals for an improvement in our economy are fundamentally flawed; they simply will not work. The sentence has what seems to be two parts: a premise and a conclusion: which is which?? This fallacy occurs if you assume as a premise the conclusion…
