Rough Draft : An abortion is when a fetus is taken from its mother’s womb with the intention to terminate the pregnancy .There are two ways to terminate a pregnancy each done in the privacy of a clean , quiet clinic . The Washington state House of Representatives on Tuesday approved a bill that would require that any insurance policy sold to state residents for maternity coverage also require policyholders to pay for coverage of abortions. Although abortions are covered by your health care they cannot be done without the consent of a parent or legal guardian unless you are over the age of 18 . Abortions can be given in two ways , through the abortion pill or through surgical removal . The pill can be used from conception – 15 weeks and surgery is used for woman who are 15-24 weeks . After your 24th week of your pregnancy or “third trimester” it is illegal to to abortion a baby . For early abortions the procedure is a one day procedure where the doctors give you medicines to cause the womb to contract and push out the fetus . But for late pregnancies theres a 2 day procedure where the first day your put to sleep using anesthetics and the next day the embryo is broken up and gently sucked out through the vaginal canal , then the mother is given the “abortion”pill .
