Identify three different types of plant suitable for use on three different sizes of site.

Contained in this research, plant has been identified by the type of machine, the manufacturer, model and typical output also noting any particular requirements or limitations and any safety issues.

Plant Purpose –
1. Excavating,
2. Grading/levelling,
3. Compacting

Site Limitations –
1. Small inaccessible,
2. Medium accessible,
3. Large civil projects

Excavating

Volvo EC15C
Mini digger. Would be suitable for any small works. They are ideal on softer ground with reduced bearing capacity and tight acessible loacations.

Volvo EW140D

This digger is the ideal machine for on-road and off-road mobility and production, providing digging excavation performance and flexibility in a wide range of applications suitable within a medium accessible site.

Volvo EC700C
The Volvo 70 tonne excavator is ideal for bulk earthworks on large civil engineering projects and deep excavations. However due to the large weight of the plant, ground works are required to prepare for the arrival of the plant.

Volvo Rake A500
In most instances a rake is used for small localised grading of materials. It is a simple and effective method of grading ground by only 1 highly skilled operative.

Volvo G940B

Mid
The middle range grader would be good for grading larger areas removing small amounts of material.
TIGER GB500

Big site
The large dozer would be
