Thesis: Working as a camp leader at Hope Restoration is the best summer job because of the children, other employees, and benefits.
Working as a camp leader at Hope Restoration is the best summer job because of the children. At Hope Restoration there is a chance to see children grow into young men and women. Working with the children is substantial because of the challenge. These kids have already received the label of being bad and hard to work with, and I like that because I know where they are coming from. I can relate to them more than the people that gave them that label. *For example, there was a boy at the camp that didn’t know how to control his anger, the slightest thing made him mad. So when I explained to him how I used to have the same problem and how I defeated it he then trusted me and what I told him, and began to work on it. Another reason why this job is the best is you get to see the kids interact with each other. *For example, the kids’ favorite things to do were going outside and play basketball, and they always thought they were better me and my co-workers. We went out there and played games with them and watch them grow. No matter what they did we made them work together before they had any fun, whether it was taking out the trash or sweeping the floor. The main reason why I think this is the best summer job is seeing the children grow spiritually is the best part about the job. *For instance, there was a teenage girl at the camp that was a huge trouble maker. With our devotions every day and just pulling her aside and talking to her, by the end of camp she gave her life up to God and now is an ongoing member. It just amazes me how a month of work can turn the life of a girl growing up in the streets around. Even though there are a lot of jobs out there to do in the summer I think Hope Restoration is the right one.
