My Personal Development Paper - Outline and Theme Statement
-Theme Statement: In this report, I am going to focusing on what my strengths are and where my weaknesses from my past, also how to use my strengths now in the present, then I will work into in the future, and how to develop my weaknesses to be my strengths as well.

-Introduction: Knowing yourself and what you can do, can help you recognize and overcome your weaknesses. The personal development plan for me is a chance to know my self better, I can realize what I want to achieve or where I want to go in the plan, in the short- or long-term, and also identifying the need for skills, knowledge or competence. It also helps me to define the appropriate development to meet those perceived needs

My transition from high school to college was not flawless. In high school, I was successful with minimal foresight. I quickly found that this was not the case in college. While my first semester grades now were not terrible, I knew it was not my personal best. Although my course load was heavy, the classes challenging, and my schedule full of outside rehearsals, I wanted to improve.

While my GPA now may not have reflected it, I learned the important lesson from my first month of college. I learned that drive is not enough; you must incorporate what you have already learned and continue to learn new skills to be most successful. I believe that life is a learning experience and being able to recognize our own strengths and weaknesses can help us become better individuals in anything we choose to do, whether it is positive abilities and skills that can help achieve our goals or negative personal areas that need improvement.

From now on I should implemented techniques such as taking extensive notes, reading in advance of attending class, making flashcards and other study aids, and rereading material as necessary. Additionally, I kept a detailed schedule of all my classes, assignments, and extracurricular events.
