Oskar Schindler was a German industrialist former member of the Nazi party but why did he save the Jewish people? Why did he spend something like 4 million German marks keeping Jews out of the death camps an enormous sum of money for those times? Why did he risk his life to rescue Jews people in the shadow of Auschwitz?
But today Oskar Schindler his name is known to millions as a household word for courage in a world of brutality the flawed hero who saved hundreds of Jews from Hitler's gas chambers. Oscar Schindler spent millions to protect and save his Jews, everything he possessed.
More than 1200 Jews Schindler was all that stood between them and death at the hands of the Nazis. But he remained true to his Jews, the workers he referred to as my children. In the shadow of Auschwitz he kept the SS out and everyone alive.
Oscar Schindler rose to the highest level of humanity and gave his Jews a second chance at life. He earned the everlasting gratitude of his Schindler Jews.
“Now you are finally with me, you are safe now. Don't be afraid of anything. You don't have to worry anymore.”
Oskar Schindler devoted his fortunes and future to saving the lives of Jews people. Oskar, this big man with a big heart and big connections, loved to be loved and needed.
Oskar Schindler was a sentimentalist who loved the simplicity of doing well.
