Q 1: As mentioned in Chapter 6 under "OB in the News" and/or on PPT slide #23 in the MetGCSA presentation located in "Course Content - Week 5," money is rarely a prime motivator for employees. What are some of the other motivators that consistently appear before money in the text, the articles below and in your own list of workplace motivators?

Q 3: What motivates you? Given your personality traits, past experiences and expectations in the workplace, describe the ideal motivational work environment for you.

The ideal work enviornment for me would be a very interesting place, in fact it could not exist in the real world so i will try and come as close to reality as possible. This workplace would be a true democracy in the fact that it would exist based upon the indiviudal and his or her subjective abilities to be part of a business. The subjective would be emphasized to the maximum as I believe all indiviudals have the propensity for greatness, its just that not many are able to truly develop the skills necessary to manifest such a thing. There must be a sense of mutual respect and an organized structure based not upon authority but instead on expertise and experience which will define leaders as they will organically grow to the top. A job that provides opportunity to learn, progress and contribute to the organization. A teamwork-oriented environment in a company that empowers employees to create and take initiatives. A job that my skills are utilized to the maximum and allows me to grow within the organization. I would prefer the company culture to be very team oriented and focused on delivering real measurable results while still maintaining a friendly and respectful
