I first discovered about ooVoo from my Mom; my family lives in Melbourne, Australia and its make it easier for us to communicate with each other almost every day via Oovoo. OoVoo is a video chat and instant messaging client developed by ooVoo LLC for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Android and iOS. OoVoo was founded in 2006 by the entrepreneurs Clayton L. Mathile and Philippe Schwartz, based on a technology developed at Arel Communications and Software (Formerly NASDAQ:ARLCF), a company that was founded in 1982 and specialized in remote e-learning and collaboration solutions. OoVoo video conferencing can be used for online contacting, web conferencing, web presentations, online training, and remote support. With multipoint videoconference, teleconference, and a suite of additional features, ooVoo allows businesses to connect with colleagues and contacts to reduce spending time on travel. As I see it, oovoo makes a great alternative to Skype because it lets you talk to multiple people simultaneously for free with out getting cut-off many times. With ooVoo you can interact with friends and family easily and share what's around you. OoVoo allows you to make video calls, send text messages, and securely share files (up to 5MB) for free. In addition, the company offers more features through two paid plans, ooVoo Pro and ooVoo Plus.
