Bringing lucidity to lucidity
General Purpose: To inform my audience.
Specific Purpose: To help my audience become frequent dreamers.
Thesis Statement: Dreaming has the potential to change your life, as it has with many throughout history.
Introduction
A. Attention Getter Have you ever wanted to fly, talk to aliens or explore your imagination?
B. Relevancy Statement Lucid dreaming allows you to do this and so much more.
C. Thesis Statement Lucid dreaming is recognizing that you are dreaming while you are in the dream state.
D. Preview Statement There’s many reasons and ways to start lucid dreaming that I am about to tell you.
I.(Lucid Dreaming has been practiced in religions from as early as eighth century AD)
The Tibetan Buddhists were practicing a form of yoga designed to maintain full waking consciousness during the dream state. In Tibetan Buddhism, the practice of dream yoga is pursued within the larger context of seeking to understand the mind and the true, inner causes of both suffering and genuine happiness.
“I am awake,” is the very meaning of the word Buddha: “one who has awakened.”
Transitional Statement: But you do not have to be a Tibetan Buddhist to enjoy the many benefits of lucid dreaming.
II.(Modern reasons for lucid dreaming.)
A. Lucid dreaming creates limitless freedom and escapism. 1 It's a perfectly valid motivation for having lucid dreams. We all have unfulfilled desires and lucidity is an amazing way to experience out-of-this-world situations in stunning realism. 2. Escapism is probably the one and only reason most people initially pursue lucid dreams... to meet with their idol, to re-enact a day in the life of Michael Jackson, or to fly like an eagle over breathtaking scenery. B. Lucid dreaming unleashes your creative potential. 1: Famous painters like Salvador Dali, William Blake and Paul Klee all created artwork inspired by their dreams. Equally, lucid dreams can give way to amazing musical inspiration. Composers like Mozart, Beethoven and Wagner all pointed to dreams as the source of their creativity. 2: We all know that dreams can be a bizarre place of inspiration. The benefit, when lucid dreaming, is to be able to actively seek out creative ideas and bring them back to the waking world.
Transitional Statement: Now that I’ve gotten your interest, there are many techniques used to enhance dream recall and becoming lucid inside of your dreams.
III.( These are a few of what I find to be the easiest, least time consuming methods to lucid dreaming. ) A. A Dream Journal is number one. Find a notebook or journal specifically to record your dreams in. Keep it within arm's reach of the bed. If you’re already remembering your dreams when you wake up think about the location, characters, sensations, sounds, objects and emotions of the dream. Write them down. This helps to get your brain in the habit of remembering more and more. B. To learn lucid dreaming, you must be able to spot the difference between a dream and waking reality. So this is where reality checks come into the mix. In order to recognize when you're dreaming, you need to spark that "Eureka!" moment of realization with a definitive test such as a simple question, and an "impossible" pre-determined action. My preferred reality check is pushing two fingers from my right hand into the palm of my left hand and willing them to pass straight through. C. The Wake Induced Lucid Dream (aka WILD) is often considered the most powerful lucid dreaming technique for two reasons. Lucidity on demand meaning WILDs enable you to have conscious dreams whenever you want (as long as you are in the right mental state). Peak Lucidity meaning WILDs produce the most vivid kind of lucid dream because there is no lapse in consciousness from waking to dreaming. The directions are very simple. Go to bed and wake up

progenitor of the human race, as all Cain’s descendants die in the flood. Enoch was an ancestor of Noah, father of Methuselah Enoch walked with God until “God took him” The text is cryptic. There are many hypotheses as to the meaning of this: - Was Enoch taken up to God’s court? Did he become an angel? Did he simply die early? God was displeased with humanity and decided to send a flood to wipe humanity out. Noah was chosen by God to build an ark to save his family, the only righteous family, and to save…

tells us that if we are going to righty divide the word of truth we must use sound words. Wilson gives an awesome explanation on this, he says that Paul is speaking of the form of sound words. This means it is the frame work, structure, sketch or outline. These words that Paul refers to are more than just words put on paper, but rather they are forming a picture or a view. When Scripture is righty divide it creates sound words, and reveal a structural reality that includes divine intentions and purposes…
