Islam is an Abrahamic religion. Islamic teaching emphasizes submission to the will of one GOD. Islam came out from the desert of Arabia, and has spread out to the whole world. There are three subject to talk about Islam: the life of the messenger of god, Muhammad, the birth of Islam, and the five pillars.
First, Muhammad is the founder of Islam. He was born in 570 in the Arabian city of Mecca. He was orphaned at an early age, and brought up under the care of his uncle Abu Talib. Later on he worked as a shepherd. After that, he started working in trade. In addition, he was married by the age of 25 to a rich widow women who granted him sons and daughters. Both sons died in childhood. Muhammad took care to marry his daughters to good husbands. Three of his daughters married before Muhammad received the first revelation from God. Fatima was the youngest daughter of Muhammad. She got married to Ali after the emergence of Islam.
Thus, the birth of Islam started. Muhammad received the first revelation from God when he was 40 years. Moreover, it was the habit of Muhammad to go to a cave for several nights of meditation and prayer. One day, while Muhammad was sleeping in a cave, an angel called Gabriel came to him, and said to him, “Read three times.” Muhammad replied. “What shall I read?” The angel answered him. “Read in the name of your lord who created. Created man from a clot. Read and your lord is Akram. Which teach with pen. Taught man what he knew not.”1 This verse came by the angel; it is words from God to the Prophet without any alteration or change In the Quran. Muhammad recited these verses and repeated them after the angel Gabriel. After that, he began to speak publicly about his ideas of religions reform; Muhammad encountered severe opposition from citizens of Mecca against the city's prevalent idolatry and his insistence on the worship of one God. The citizens rejected his idea of the worship of one god. So he decided get out of Mecca in 622, to Medina, and make the city a refuge for him. Muhammad soon attracted supporters, achieving much success. Less than ten years later, he decided to return to Mecca so he could convert it to an Islamic city. According to the book Al-Bukhari and Muslim, the first Hadith is the following:
“I heard the Messenger of God, peace be upon him say: “Actions are (judged) by motives (Niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (Hijrah) was to God and His Messenger, his migration is to God and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated.”

This was written related to the life of Muhammad in the early history of Islam. It was passed down both orally and written for more than a hundred years after the death of the prophet Muhammad in 632.
Lastly, the five pillars are basic acts of Islam, and obeyed by believers. The prophet began to articulate the five pillars of Islam and their importance for Muslims.
