Miller Lite “See & Say- Bowling”
In this Miller Lite commercial, the product of the new Miller Lite bottle has been advertised in many of Miller Lites new commercials. Taking a closer look at this commercial, Miller Lite uses four guys that are going bowling to show how the new bottle is shown as more appealing to men than a good looking waitress. At first you might think that all of their eyes are looking at the waitress that is roller skating throughout the bar holding up a drink displayed on the tray, but they are really looking at the new Miller Lite bottle that is being displayed on the tray. In this Ad Analysis the new vortex bottle that Miller has created helped construct a product that was more desirable than an attractive waitress.
In the commercial, the setting of the bowling alley was very dim and dull, very much like a bar setting. There was music on in the background and everybody was having a great time. There was a disco ball shinning throughout the bar area of the bowling alley and with the waitress roller skating throughout the bar added an old school theme to the bar. It must have been later at night on a weekend because the bar was packed. This bar could have been located anywhere but because Miller Lite is produced in Milwaukee, it most likely would have taken place in one of the downtown bowling alleys. The four buddies that were the main characters in the commercial were all dressed up in a classy style of clothing. It seemed as if they were all single which would’ve helped Millers main point of the commercial to think they are talking about the waitress when in reality they were talking about the beer. The guys who were standing around the table were in their late twenties early thirties.
The commercials language had many short simple phrases in it and the commercial was very easy to understand. After the crashing of the bowling balls into the pins, one guy started out by saying “wow, you see what I see?” and another guy responds with “you know I see it” and they are asking each other if they see what they all see and three of the four buddies say that they see it. The audience might think that the men are calling “dibs” on the waitress which a lot of men do. The one buddy that is confused on what they are looking at
