In many parts of the world the growing concern called obesity has been a talked now ever since before the 1980’s. We have often observed that obesity follows a socioeconomic gradient which adversely affects the poor. It is a problematic concern in many U.S. societies and in most industrialized societies as well. It is still a question itself if obesity is a social phenomenon in this current century. This paper will outline a sociological theory of obesity as a result of so many worldwide factors. There will be various types of articles that will correspond to the topic at hand and there results in the society. With this being said, obesity can be seen as a worldwide issue. Some examples are when some people are influence by food that are around them weather it is a late night snack or a fast-food drive-thru, a sense of discrimination that leads to health issues, and obese people who feel body conscious. These types of setups are the reason that made obesity a high concern among many societies.

In many countries, the prevalence of obesity in almost some societies are high and rising. By trying to develop an understanding of the causes of obesity, we can better understand how to lower and decline its ratings. In many cases, I see the issue of obesity comes in three main factors which are: labor, fast-food, & the individual itself. We are all influence by are actions, influence by are surroundings, and definitely influence by the problems one would have. Obesity is mostly referred to as a personal matter/issue (such as hoardings, angermanagement, and/or suicides); due to ones uncontrollable nature to consume what is seem in from of them. It is already seen that obesity is a highly growing sociological phenomenon, and in this paper I will be analyzing and explaining the sociological theories on obesity.

The results suggest that the sale of competitive foods in school is unassociated with weight gain among middle school children. Although, it does raised the risk the raised of child obesity. Primarily, the key concept for competitive foods is that children will consume any food they find, whether it is healthy for them or not. No matter how hungry the children are or not, children will look for food where ever they are available, most likely their schools. Studies show people will eat more food that are available and visible than when they are actually hungry.
While the percentages of obesity of children in the U.S. has tripled since the years of the early years of 1970s and the late 2000s, there has now been a new study that suggested that weight gain has nothing to do with the candy, soda, chips, and other junk food they can purchase at school. Just as food can be available at any school, it is also available in many other areas such as one’s home, neighborhood, or across the street from one’s school. It is quite a difficulty for students around there middle to high school life to get food that they want. They have to go through the day by getting from one class to another, and schools enforced specific times for the students to take their break and find time to have a snack or two. Though schools might give students access to many varieties of food, not all are the result of obesity. So in any case, the fact is that it mostly commonly remains to what type of environment a student will most likely be part of.

Another sociological study that has grabbed many attention of obesity are excess of body weight. This is especially serious to children who starts becoming obese in their early stages of childhood. Obesity has lead to many types of crisis such as cancer, stokes, diabetes, and other types of diseases. This conditions will increase the risk if the body continues to grow excessively than it should.. Many has already for seen this as some epidemic, there has been dozens of
