Kudler Fine Foods

Kudler Fine Foods was founded by Kathy Kudler on June 18, 1998. Kudler is an upscale specialty food store located in the San Diego metropolitan area and has three locations La Jolla, Del Mar and Encinitas. The area of these stores was part of their marketing research to reach the customers who like to eat fine foods and are not concerned about the price they have to pay. The stores are stocked with domestic and imported products which include a wide variety of bakery goods, produce, meat, packages foods, cheese and dairy products. Each of Kudler’s locations is located in an exclusive upscale neighborhood, which offers relaxation to our customers for being in a clean and safe environment. Each location is approximately 16,000 square feet of retail space, which allow us to demonstrate cooking, preparing and tasting our products. “Kudler’s mission is to provide their customers with the finest selected foodstuff, wines, and related needs in an unparalleled consumer environment” (Kudler, Mission Statement, 2008, ¶2). In order for Kudler to continue its growth process the company needs to recognize the importance of marketing strategies and tactics and identify the areas where Kudler requires additional market research. This paper will discuss the important issues that exist in Kudler’s current marketing strategy and tactics. Marketing research is important for all companies if
