Spencer Anderson Malcolm X The Real Story

Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925 with the government name Malcolm Little to the loving parents of Earl and Elise Norton Little. He was born at University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. His father was a Baptist minister and his mother was a homemaker occupied with eight children. Malcolm was 7 months old when his family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to avoid the KKK. In January 1928 they move again to Lansing, Michigan, this time trying to avoid the Black Legion who threatened to kill Earl Little. Two years later their home is burned to the ground. The movie Malcolm X best describes the life of Malcolm x and all his beliefs its a film that is powerful and tells the great story of Malcolm X, it was directed by Spike Lee in 1992 and played by Denzel Washington. On, September 28, 1931, Earl was ran over by a streetcar and died, but the police ruled this as an accident. Soon after, his mother Louise was declared legally insane and sent to a mental institute. She was kept in the Kalamazoo mental institute for 27 years. Him and his siblings were sent to detention homes and spilt up between family members. His family had been torn apart by the Black Legion, Malcolm knew that this was wrong and promised his mother that he would change the world.
During, his early teen years he was sent to live with his sister in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended high school in Boston, while in high school his favorite teacher told him that becoming a lawyer was "no realistic job for a nigger." This devastated Malcolm and forced him to drop out of high school and commit to selling drugs, prostitution and gambling. Malcolm attempted to pick up a stolen watch from a repair shop, when he was arrested for larceny, breaking and entering, and carrying firearms. He was sentenced to 10 years, but he only served seven of them and was put on parole for the last 3 years. While Malcolm was in prison he was introduced the teachings of Elijah Mohammad and the Nation of Islam (NOI) from his brother Reginald. Malcolm started to research the NOI when he was transferred to Norfolk Prison Colony in Massachusetts. In 1952, when he was paroled from prison he began attended NOI teachings and talking to Mohammad. Mohammad told Malcolm that he needs to take a surname, because little is a slave name given to him by the white man. In 1953, X moved to Chicago and lived with Elijah Mohammad, where he became minister and national spokesperson of the Nation of Islam. Both Mohammad and Malcolm faced the reality that Malcolm's fame had raised over Mohammad's. Malcolm's faith was tested when he found out that Mohammad has been having relations with many women and had children with most of them. This made Malcolm want a wife of his own and marry Betty Shabazz in 1958. The NOI wanted to go to war when "NOI member Hinton Johnson is beaten by New York police and jailed; outside the 123rd Street police station, where a contingent of Muslims from Temple No. 7 gathered".
