Communicating; we all do it in different ways, whether it’s verbal, body language, written, or all three. Different individuals vary between how good they are at each, but it is a vital necessity to express our thoughts, behavior, and feelings.
For myself personally, when it comes to talking with people I know well I am for most part comfortable, and can communicate fine with them. It becomes different at school. At school I become less confident; I speak softly and quietly to others but have no problem chatting to new people, even though I don’t talk much. When it comes to having to do a presentation or talking to the entire class I become very shy and closed up. Prior to presentations the palms of my hands will start to sweat, my face turns bright red and heats up. I feel multiple critters running around inside me, and I sometimes laugh uncontrollably and can’t stop. When I then go to walk up to the front of the class I feel same way, sometimes fellow students point out how red I look which makes my nerves just shoot up even more. I’ll begin to talk just loud enough so people can hear me. Almost all my teachers have made a comment saying, “speak up”, and when this happens I start to laugh out of fear. Everything at this point goes downhill. I feel embarrassed, shy, and wanting to go burrow in a deep hole.
Shyness has been a huge part of my personal growth, it holds me back and doesn’t allow me to always express myself in

Coping With Stress I don’t have a very good mechanism for dealing with stress in my life. When I do let myself get too stressed, I try and take a break from whatever is causing the stress and listen to music to relax myself a little bit. Listening to music is normally a good way to relax me enough to be able to handle…
