Social inequality
Social inequality is a situation in which there can be found differences between individual groups in a society from the point of view of their social groups, social circles or social status. In some parts of the world there are different social groups that do not have the same rights to propriety, vote, freedom of speech, health care or education.It involves the belief that some individuals are socially defined as disadvantaged due to their life circumstances .Of most modern industrial countries, the United States has some of the richest and some of the poorest people to be found. The upper classes have most of the power in the nation, use their influence, wealth to convert the United States income into benefiting their well-being and financial stability. In the last fifteen years, the income of the upper classes has risen while the income of the lower classes has generally lowered, further showing the inequality that exists in our nation. I will explain to you the inequality in our country and why it occurs. Race, income and class are the main reasons for social inequality.
In today’s world, the American still has barriers to overcome in the matter of racial equality. Whether it is being passed over for a promotion at the job or being underpaid, some people have to deal with unfair practice that would prevent someone of color or the opposite sex from having equal opportunity at the job.
