Chinese make big push into animation
August 17, 2011 | By Benjamin Haas
Entering the campus of the largest animation production facility in China, visitors are greeted by life-size statues of Disney and Pixar characters: Belle dancing with the Beast, Mowgli and Baloo sitting on a tree trunk and Buzz and Woody in a classic buddy pose. But this isn't an overseas outpost of the American studios. Instead, these knockoff statues are meant to inspire a new generation of Chinese animators to make films that can compete with Hollywood blockbusters and classics such as "Beauty and the Beast," "The Jungle Book" and "Toy Story.

Summary

This article is about how the Chinese are using knockoff Disney characters to inspire new animators. These statues include Belle and the Beast from "Beauty and the Beast, Mowgli from "The Jungle Book" and Buzz and Woody from the classic Disney and Pixar movie "Toy Story". These as mentioned before are used to inspire a new generation of animators, they want the animators to be able to compete with these movies and become famous. By doing so the Chinese will be able to rival or even beat the movies produced in Hollywood. If the Chinese are able to rival the big time Hollywood they will be making a big push into the global movie market. They are already able to make non animated movies but if they improve there animated films not only will they be making a big push into the entertainment market but they will be able to get more of a fan base and make more money. Also if they increase the amount of animated movies they amount of work force they use will grow improving there job market. If the increase in there job market grows they will be able to have more luxurious lives. Although all this is possible just adding these statues won’t help inspire them to much they will have to find talented animators. Also they will have to make great scripts to make the movies interesting. In china alone there are 1,339,724,852 people with that number alone if even one movie gets popular they will make millions. But the problem is that they have no imagination, even one of the business managers at a Chinese animation studio Yang Ye. That is why they added the statues so that they would be inspired by the work of the people in Hollywood that were able to create such master pieces. They want to motivate there animators to want to be the best.

International Trade and World Market (Trade Disputes)
Updated September 17, 2012
Trade agreements reduce the price of American goods and services in foreign markets — and foreign goods and services in the United States — by eliminating tariffs, or taxes, on those products. Most economists say the overall benefits are substantial, increasing demand and reducing prices. But the outcomes for individuals are much more varied. Consumers may benefit from the availability of cheaper foreign goods even as more expensive American workers are losing their jobs. The United States has comprehensive free trade agreements with 17 countries, including Mexico and Canada. In October 2011 Congress passed three long-awaited free trade agreements with South Korea,
