improvement ideas : Essentially modern improvements come from the use of computerised integration

Kanban: The use of a scheduling system for lean and just in time production. It logistical control chain from the production side not as an inventory control system. Effective in systems where high volumes of production is concerned: I.e. useful for the smaller system of this product, not so much on the smaller production line.
Kanban maintains inventory levels, where a signal is sent to produce a new shipment when material consumed has reached a certain level.
As an even further modification, use an electronic sensor that tracks stock levels and consumption levels that get transmitted onto a PC.
Use of barcoding systems: In older systems, production workers use to sign a sheet with their signature and the time it got passed on. A more effective way to do this, would be to have personal scanners, and a bar code, that tracks a units model number/ serial number etc. and then to have the individual parts logged and scanned, with the production worker who completed the task.
Increase support levels of staff around the production line: This would ensure safe transportation and transition between processes.
Use standardised torque wrenches: This means that, if one section of the production uses a set torque, it would save time to have a standard value for the wrenches which would reduce production time.
Tooling boards: After having all the tools set up correctly and organised, a sketched outline of the tool will be drawn behind the tool, to indicate that it has a set place. This saves time and effort if needing to find a tool.
Store organisation: This can be similar to the tooling boards, as that if you organise the stores to ensure that every tool has a standard place and every size of that tool is clearly indicated, this could be done by organising for first tooling, and then secondary; tool sizes, to eliminate mix ups.
Stock control: Simply done as a stock take that can be done monthly/3 monthly/ 12 monthly, depending on the volumes of the stock that you use for a part.
Having a correctly updated, stock database: i.e. whenever a part is taken out it must be logged onto a database, and also when goods are received, faulty goods/parts arise. The faulty parts would also
