1.1 Introduction of digitization

Digitization is the process of transforming or converting the materials from non-digital or paper-based into digital or electronic form. This transformation supports the digital code using computer technologies. It also include take a picture of document or photograph, films, manuscripts, printed texts and artworks scanned from documents. Digitization is the process of converting information into a digital format . In this format, information is organized into discrete units of data that called bits that can be separately. This is the binary data that computers and many devices with computing capacity which is digital camera to take a picture or scanner to scan the document can process.
Text and images can be digitized similarly a scanner captures an image and also image with text and converts it to an image file, such as

Digital files may be read, compressed, transferred and retrieved over computer networks then made accessible and viewed on computer monitors. The end product is determined by how well these functions are performed. The simplest example would be to take an item, consider the costs and benefits of digitizing it, and then compare this with not digitizing it. The easiest quantifiable method to use would be how this affects access.
The libraries, museums and archives of the world are filled with materials recorded in many ‘analogue’ formats. These include paper and all its variants, for example vellum, papyrus, birch bark, wood and other substrates. Images can be represented on paper or canvas, as well as many surrogate forms including negatives, glass plates, and microfilm and microfiche. Sound and moving image have been stored on film, videotape, audio cassette and LP records. Despite this variety of formats and playback devices with which it is associated, analogue information has three consistent
