The Evolution of a New Dance Craze
Fitness; if it came in a bottle, the whole world would have a great physique. According to Wood, poor diet and lack of exercise can lead to a plethora of physical and mental health problems.
These two factors are the primary contributors to obesity, linked with an increased risk for many diseases. The Centers for Disease Control reports obesity in America has increased dramatically since 1985.1
Exercising and lack of activity is one of the greatest problems in America today. Many individual are oblivious to knowing it is good for our body, but many of us are afraid that it is not worth our time.
There are a myriad types of workouts carried out in the states while several are strenuous, various are boring, there is certainly one, which is blasting its way through several gyms, health clubs, dance studios and fat cells too.
What’s this thrilling phenomenon many individuals are speaking of? The name of this workout phenomenon is called: ZUMBA!1 and yes, it includes the exclamation point in the name, because it’s a way of demonstrating the excitement of this new sensation which began in our very own Latin America. As I go on, I will be giving you a better insight about ZUMBA!, its birth in Latin America, and growth of this exercise marvel.
So exactly, what is this Zumba phenomenon, you may be asking? Let’s face it, working out can be healthy, rewarding and beneficial. It can also be boring, tiring, and time consuming. Working out can be lots of things, but it’s never been known to be an exhilarating experience…UNTIL NOW!
This Zumba phenomenon fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms such as merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, samba, flamenco, and so many more influential styles of music. The varied dance techniques are assembled into an easy-to-follow routine to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. The goal is simple: work out, enjoy it, and live a healthy life. Which will ultimately lead to getting hooked to Zumba.
