1.0 Introduction
Rainforest Alliance is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the published aims of working to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land use practices, business practices and consumer behaviours. Fairtrade Foundation is a charity based in the UK that works to empower disadvantaged producers in developing countries by tackling injustice in conventional trade in particular by promoting and licensing the Fairtrade Mark, a guarantee that products retailed in the UK have been produced in accordance with internationally agreed Fairtrade standards.

2.0 The impact for Fairtrade Foundation and Rainforest Alliance
2.1 Fairtrade Foundation
Cadbury has been an active member of the Ghanaian community for over a century. Cadbury’s commitment to Fair Trade will quadruple the sales of Fair Trade cocoa from Ghana under Fair Trade terms.
