The book “Huck Finn” should not be banned because it challenges our minds on how mature we handle the book. “Huck Finn” is a very controversial book because of a certain word in the book that is said over 200 times that most people feel uncomfortable saying, the Nword.
However even though you feel uncomfortable with the word you can’t just ignore it. In “Huck
Finn Synthesis Essay of Argumentation”, source D states that “In the classroom ‘nigger’ is embarrassing and divisive at any grade level.” Basically, the quote is saying that the Nword is humiliating and can cause some students discomfort or shame.Since schools are a place where students should feel comfortable and safe, any book that causes embarrassment should be
banned.
