Most of people have to go to school whether they like it or not, and that means dealing with a wide variety of teachers on a daily basis. Some are nice, some are mean, and some we believe to be just plain crazy. Teachers should always take into consideration the choices that they make, as students are constantly looking up to them. A teacher has to be a role model at all times. This includes, exhibiting the right behavior in class, poised body language and also in terms of the content being taught. As a role model, a teacher must respect others and correct student's behavior when necessary.

Old School - Follow the rules teacher. These types of teachers are typically of the older generation that has been raised in a different world than the one we live in now. They also tend to be nicer to older students, whom they consider to be the most mature. Their rules are basic: shut your trap, respect me at all times, learn something, and once in a while, prove it. Sometimes it can seem like these teachers are way too bad tempered, but usually they are pretty harmless. To survive their classes, simply follow the rules, especially those about respect, and things in class will be fine. This teacher sometimes are beyond boring is like a low-flying airplane, they just seem to drone on and on until your eyelids feel as heavy as someone is forcing to close them. As painful as their class may be, it is important to do the best to get involved. Many times, if teachers see an increase in class participation and interest in the subject, they will side benefits right up. Remember, while it's no fun to have to listen to a drone, it's no fun for a teacher to have to look back and see a class that looks like they've been knocked out.

The teacher that doesn't seem to know how to implement discipline, and make the students to learn the material themselves. These types of teachers can be good or bad, depending on the kind of student you are. Some students enjoy doing whatever they want in class without suffering the consequences, but other students are frustrated that they aren't learning anything. Depending on how bad the situation is, sometimes you just have to hunker down and learn the material yourself. One thing you can do is suggest to the teacher that all the kids who want to learn sit on one side of the room, and all the others sit on the other side. This type of teacher is easygoing and takes things as they come. He/she is not overly finicky about things, such as doing homework on time or not sitting quietly in the class, etc. Such teachers very well realize that being strict with a child can only make him/her withdrawn. However, this does not mean that one can do anything in the class of a pampering teacher. Even the best and brightest student may eventually run into a class that they'll have serious trouble passing. If you don't understand something tutoring can really help. Even one hour helps so much that you could go ahead and add 20 odd marks to your result just with going for tutoring. After all, it has been established many times over that the idea of putting the good kids with the bad and thinking that they will have a good influence on them does not work.

Just plain scary is another type of teacher that you cower in the midst of if they simply look at you. A strict teacher is very tough on students. He/she always insists on adhering to the deadlines. Such a teacher dislikes any mistakes or carelessness on the part of the students. Students have to be extra cautious under such a teacher. He/she is like a disciplinarian, always keeping students on their toes They are usually very tall, dress in dark colors, and seem to have never learned how to smile. Side-effects of teachers like these include bad grades and pop-quizzes. The first thing you have to realize about this type of teacher is that they know what they are doing, it is simply their style of discipline.
