Heart Arrhythmia is not necessarily a wide spread disease that affects many cultures and has no boundaries. A human’s heart beats in a regular, coordinated way mainly because of the electrical impulses that is generated and spread by myocytes with unique electrical properties trigger a sequence of organized myocardial contractions. Heart Arrhythmias and other conduction disorders are caused by any changes that are made in the generation or conduction of these electrical impulses or both.
A heart rhythm disorder is an abnormal variation from the normal heartbeat. Heart rhythm disorders involve abnormalities of one or more of the following: heart rate, regularity of beats, sites where electrical impulses originate, or sequence of activation of heartbeats. Heart rhythm disorder is also referred to as an arrhythmia. Arrhythmias are very common in older adults; also the most common type of arrhythmia to cause problems in millions of people is Atrial Fibrillation. However, cultural beliefs suggest that a heart arrhythmia or a atrial fibrillation is a chronic disease and is also unpredictable with some serious consequences. Also, people believe that psychological factors age and that it induced worry, anxiety, and depression. Thus, it is possible for society to live with having a heart arrhythmia if it is managed correctly and properly taken care of. Therefore, it is important to keep your heart healthy and to see a doctor is anything such as feeling dizzy does occur.
