Madly-in-love people spend tougher nights, but Avinash was experiencing the most difficult day of his life. The nervousness level in him was quite high. In fact, he had not been nervous even when he had barely prepared for the (IIT?) entrance exam. But this was different. He was aware that the result of this test would decide the course of the rest of his life. The result mattered to him so much. For now, even a simple dinner (with the girl) was enough to give him butterflies in the stomach.
He reached his host’s home before time, feeling a bit awkward. He saw Divya from far, she was dressed in a white, cotton Anarkali suit. Any dress would compliment her cute baby-face. She looked like an innocent young girl. So simple, far removed from the modern girls that he had been accustomed to seeing in the past few years of his life living in Delhi. He walked towards her, consciously taking care to replicate the gait and walk of a Model. He wanted to leave the best impression on her. He found her praying at the white marble temple, the exact location her grandfather had guided him to find her.

Don’t you think , you are early?” She asked greeting him.
“No, not at all,” he replied. “No…. I mean, yeah, I have come... actually I …I thought …. Why? … You know ...,” he stammered. The conflict of his inner feelings writ large on his face.
Finally, he managed to say coherently but with hesitation, “Yes, I have come early.” He was afraid of any further questions from her.
She didn’t know , how I spent my time till 7 P.M. If it was in my hands I supposed to have everybody on dining table at sharp 10 am. (Not clear.... was he invited at 7 pm. The time factor is a bit
